The New Docks are in at Halifax Rowing Club – September 24, 2012
If you haven’t heard by now you haven’t been checking your Facebook or email the new docks are in at the Club!
We now have a new 56′ long dock that extends out to the north (up towards Jubilee Road) from the end of the ‘old’ long dock. We also have a new 14′ section of dock added to the old long dock. This is a great addition for the club and its members. The new docks will help to reduce congestion and make getting boats into and out of the Northwest Arm quicker and easier. Hopefully no one will have to sit and wait for a free spot on the dock after a grueling workout!
If you get a chance, say thanks to Kevin Feltmate, HRC Board President for all the time and effort he has put in to planning, getting funds for, getting special metal components made, and coordinating / participating in their construction and delivery! Thanks also to the members who helped to construct and install the docks.
