Junior Programs
These programs are for youth, aged 13 – 18 as of January 1st of the current year, who have completed the Junior Learn-to-Row.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT
This program is for youth who have completed the Junior Learn-to-Row program in the current season.
After completing the Learn-to-Row classes, this program will allow you to continue to improve your rowing technique and boat handling skills. This program will provide you with the opportunity to row several times a week, where you will have the chance to row in crews with other new members, and will have dedicated coaching at each of the sessions to help you continue to develop the skills learned in your Learn-to-Row Class.
As a Junior Development rower, you will be eligible to enter novice events at regattas and we hope you will be interested in learning how to race!
Schedule (starts after you finish LTR):
Monday to Friday 9:30-11:30 (July/Aug); 4-6pm (Sept/Oct)

JUNIOR FITNESS
This program is for youth who have completed the Junior Learn-to-Row prior to the current rowing season, who want to row for fun and fitness while continuing to develop their skills and possibly compete in regattas.
This program will provide you with the opportunity to row several times a week, with coached sessions at least twice a week. Coaches will work with you to improve your technique and meet your fitness goals. Less experienced junior fitness rowers will have the opportunity to row with more experienced rowers and row in various types of boats (sweep and sculling).
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4-6pm (May/June & Sept/Oct); 9:30-11:30 (July/Aug)

JUNIOR COMPETITIVE
This program is for experienced youth who want to learn to compete. Athletes who wish to train with the goal of rowing on the Provincial rowing team and/or competing at a high level will train with this group. Coaching will focus on refining and consolidating sculling skills; learning to sweep and developing sport-specific endurance, strength, speed, and skills for 2000m racing.
This program will provide you with the opportunity to row five days per week, you will be provided with coaching a minimum of 4 times a week. Competitive rowers will have a boat priority for regattas and during scheduled training sessions for competitive rowers.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4-6pm (May/June & Sept/Oct); 9:30-11:30 (July/Aug)
