If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, and want to try the great sport of rowing, on Halifax’s beautiful Northwest Arm, this class is for you. Whether you want to row for fun, for fitness, or for competition, this class will get you started and ready to spend the summer on the water at the Halifax Rowing Club.

In this class you will learn the basic skills required to row Olympic style sculls. Note: The class is limited to 10 students.

We will be offering two classes for new, junior rower early in the season. Both classes will run for 10 hours, over four days.

The cost for this class is $100

This first class, starts on Saturday May 12th, and the schedule for the class is:

Day 1) Saturday May 12, 2012 from 9am – 12 pm
Day 2) Sunday May 13, 2012 from 9am – 12 pm
Day 3) Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 6 – 8pm
Day 4) Thursday May 17, 2012 from 6 – 8 pm

3) Attend the Halifax Rowing Club Open House on April 22, 2012 from 1 – 4:00 pm and register for the class in person.
