HRC Juniors, rowing as part of the Nova Scotia Development Team, did very well at Eastern Rowing Association Championships this past weekend (July 7 & 8th), with many top finishes from our Juniors.
The Eastern Rowing Association Championships were held in Montreal, QC, on the 2000 m Olympic Basin course. NS Canada-Games eligible athletes raced against athletes from New Brunswick and local Quebec and Ontario rowing clubs, rowers who are much older and more experienced than our athletes; however, our athletes showed them they can do it! This regatta served as a great learning experience for everyone by exposing our athletes to a larger pool of competition and rowing intensity.
There were many strong and close finishes for our HRC Juniors, and a summary of their top performances is given below. The Canada Games Category includes results for all rowers, from all four provinces, who are eligible to row in the 2013 Canada Games. As you will see, many of our junior rowers did very well in A finals, meaning they did very well against much older and more experience rowers! Congratulations to everyone who took part in the ERA Championship Regatta!
